So far my experience with Oakes Kia has been excellent. From first interaction with them everything has been positive. Marion was able to work with me through the whole purchasing process. Being that I’m in the state of Hawaii, there definitely was and still are some serious logistics and concerns and Marion has assured me the confidence that everything will work out on Kia Oakes end. Kevin breaks the mold of your prototypical “car salesman” which is a breath of fresh air. He is extremely personable and approachable. My trade in was effortless and hassle free. He made sure to get me in and out as efficiently as possible, which was very important for me. But Cristian has to be the best sales manager around. Dude is genuine, wish every dealership had a guy like him running the show.

Chip Bashir appreciation comment! We had been in communication with 4 different Kia locations over the course of a week, and WOW did Chip stand out. Beyond his expertise and experience, he treated the whole process like a genuine human connection. He was personable, and you could feel the emotion in his emails. It wasn’t just about making a sale for him—it was about building a partnership. His knowledge and effort wasn’t contingent on whether we were coming in for a test drive. When we were leaning towards another location, it was solely because of the interior color. We wished that vehicle had been available at Oakes, just so we could’ve given Chip our business. But even then, Chip didn’t just stop responding to us like another location. He was truly a world apart from the others we interacted with. We deeply appreciated his approach and who he is as a person. If you're looking for a great experience, do yourself a favor and ask for Chip.

Recently bought a new car from Oakes and am incredibly happy with my purchase. I went in letting Tim Hodde, my sales specialist, know that what I wanted most in my car was affordability. From the very beginning he was incredibly helpful and worked with me to find what I wanted without any added pressure to spend more money than I wanted to. This was the first time while buying a car that I didn’t feel like I was being manipulated. He was very accessible throughout the experience even being available via text to answer any and all questions I had. I felt like he truly respected my financial mindset above all else. I would highly recommend working with him when looking for a car. That being said, my experience with the financing associate was probably one of the most uncomfortable experiences I’ve ever had when making any purchase in my entire life. After setting everything up with Tim, I was brought over to financing with Ramzi Alamawi. He started the experience by telling me that he saw that I was declining some of the add-ons for my car in the effort to save money. He told me he went ahead and declined most of the other add-ons but wanted to offer me the extended warranty at a discounted rate. I heard him out on his offer but soon told him that I was happy with the standard warranty and didn’t want to increase my monthly payments any further than they were already. Immediately his demeanor changed and he became visibly angry. The customer service charade completely dropped as he fumbled with the iPad pen to draw a line at the bottom of his digital whiteboard saying “okay then just sign here to decline if you don’t want it”. He further discounted the extended warranty, which I again politely declined. He told me that I was making a mistake, and that I “should have just leased this car”. He then said “I’ll just get the papers to have you sign and you can go”. He rapidly pushed paper after paper in front of me to sign with minimal explanation as to what it was I was signing. I didn’t feel like it was okay for me to ask questions and I really needed to buy a car so I signed them anyway. Again he asked if I wanted to buy the extended warranty with cash today instead of financing. I told him no and that I was happy with the three year warranty and am willing to take the risk of any repairs after that. He said “are you a gambler?” To which I replied, “I guess I am today”. He dropped a stack of papers in front of me, said “okay come here so you can pay and then you can go”, and walked out of the office to the reception desk. I picked up the papers I thought were mine to keep and left some I wasn’t sure about. After paying he handed me my receipt, said “okay here you go”, and went back to his office without another word. I would highly recommend working with Tim and everyone else that I encountered at Oakes but would caution anyone to avoid working with Ramzi Alamawi.

This was the best car buying experience, I have ever had! The staff members I met were all polite and helpful, with no uncomfortable sales pressure at all! My experience with the dealership was great. When I came in I did not have to wait for someone welcome. They call you special guest and offered a water. Nate came and let me sat on the chair. He prepared the car and I was able to test drive it. I wasn't familiar with the but he was which help me navigate. We drove on the inner roads and the highway which was good cause I really have good feel on the car. We came back to the dealership and talk about how I can purchase. I made the drive from Columbia Missouri all the way to north KC to get my new Kia. I had been disappointed with the Kia brand because my local dealer sales and service teams have been disappointing... But what a refreshing surprise it was to work with Oakes Kia and Dom Taibi. We went to another dealership looking for a deal on a car, we were going to go with a telluride (over what we wanted to pay) and then we had a call from a salesman called dominic, he wanted to get us a better deal and found us one that fit perfectly in our regime AND fit our rubric. The finance manager- lyric, had found us a deal on a warranty that had saved us tons of money and kept it right around what we wanted to pay a month. The new car came with a full tank of gas, added features, and it was detailed/cleaned before we were sent home. This place has also helped out our family by helping repair a blown engine on a car under a good warranty. Would recommend, this was a great experience and they managed to do all of this within an hour.

Easy to deal with, very thorough in explanation of warranties. I would’ve liked to know the price of the warranties before getting to finance, so that I know the price is constant and didn’t go up due to down payment/ negotiation.

Jonah was great to work with! Made the deal quickly and I was able to get what I wanted. Not as impressed with Chris, though, as he completely changed his attitude towards me when I didn’t purchase the extended warranty. I had told him I was already part of Oakes VIP, that I didn’t want the extended, he went ahead and laid it all out for me, which I appreciated, but in the end I wasn’t going to increase my payment over $100 a month for a glorified GPS and roadside, which I already have. He seemed to become frustrated after declining and he became short and silent. At the beginning of the conversation he seemed to know about my GAP refund from my previous car, but towards the end, he all of a sudden had no information for me. Never had an issue with any other finance personnel there though, as I have been a customer since 2019.

Oakes Kia has been great to work with since I started going there in March 2023. Recently, when my motor went out, Jarrod Bolling contacted Kia a get it replaced. I had to wait a couple of days for a response and Jarrod communicated with me until the decision was made that they would not replace the motor because it was not knocking. Before contacting my extended warranty company, Jarrod requested that the technician do every test on the motor that could be done. He then contacted my extended warranty company. He had to wait for an inspector to get to the shop to look at the motor before it could be approved for replacement. I then had to wait for a decision. In both instances, Jarrod was great at following up with Kia, with the extended warranty company and letting me know what he learned. My car was towed to the shop on January 12 and I got it back January 30. For all of that time Jarrod was in contact with me. There are other instances I could mention where exceptional service was provided, but I think it is evident why I am giving Oakes Kia five stars. It is my opinion that Jarrod went above and beyond his performance as a Service Advisor. I am so happy to have my car back and most of all, I did not have to purchase a new one. For me, that is BIG. Thank you Jarrod and Oakes Kia!!

Overall good experience with dealership. Only downfall was pushy Finance Manager that told me Kia offers 3 years, 36000 miles B2B warranty - not accurate. I had to tell her no 10 times that I wasn’t interested in an extended warranty & then she wanted me to explain why. Not professional.

We worked with Bailey Boggs to purchase my first ever brand new car - a snazzy 2026 Kia Sorento Hybrid. We had visited a couple other dealerships to narrow down our preferred make/model. Oakes Kia had a large inventory that allowed us to mix/match features until we found the right fit. I'm a methodical person who takes time to compare things and process big decisions - so I really appreciated that Bailey never made us feel rushed or pressured. She took the time to explain everything in detail and make sure we were comfortable with our decisions (vehicle, cost, financing options, etc.). She even helped keep my tag-along toddler entertained. You may not get the flashy, luxurious feel that other Kia dealerships may have - but you will get great customer service, professional and polite staff, and honest answers.

This was by far the best experience I have ever had purchasing a new car. We didn’t have an appointment and when greeted by Travis he inquired as to whom our appointment was with, do we need one we asked and he said nope let’s see what we can do for you. I had done a ton of research and knew what I did and didn’t want. He listened made suggestions and showed us a few different options. We decided on the Sorento. Go see Travis he listens and is very knowledgeable about his inventory and isn’t out to make $$ off of you, he keeps your best interest in mind during your whole visit! We finished our visit with Karen in financing and she knows her job and does everything she can to help you protect your investment. Thanks Oakes KIA for being a first class establishment!!

We went to another dealership looking for a deal on a car, we were going to go with a telluride (over what we wanted to pay) and then we had a call from a salesman called dominic, he wanted to get us a better deal and found us one that fit perfectly in our regime AND fit our rubric. The finance manager- lyric, had found us a deal on a warranty that had saved us tons of money and kept it right around what we wanted to pay a month. The new car came with a full tank of gas, added features, and it was detailed/cleaned before we were sent home. This place has also helped out our family by helping repair a blown engine on a car under a good warranty. Would recommend, this was a great experience and they managed to do all of this within an hour.

Oakes Kia has been great to work with since I started going there in March 2023. Recently, when my motor went out, Jarrod Bolling contacted Kia a get it replaced. I had to wait a couple of days for a response and Jarrod communicated with me until the decision was made that they would not replace the motor because it was not knocking. Before contacting my extended warranty company, Jarrod requested that the technician do every test on the motor that could be done. He then contacted my extended warranty company. He had to wait for an inspector to get to the shop to look at the motor before it could be approved for replacement. I then had to wait for a decision. In both instances, Jarrod was great at following up with Kia, with the extended warranty company and letting me know what he learned. My car was towed to the shop on January 12 and I got it back January 30. For all of that time Jarrod was in contact with me. There are other instances I could mention where exceptional service was provided, but I think it is evident why I am giving Oakes Kia five stars. It is my opinion that Jarrod went above and beyond his performance as a Service Advisor. I am so happy to have my car back and most of all, I did not have to purchase a new one. For me, that is BIG. Thank you Jarrod and Oakes Kia!!

Overall good experience with dealership. Only downfall was pushy Finance Manager that told me Kia offers 3 years, 36000 miles B2B warranty - not accurate. I had to tell her no 10 times that I wasn’t interested in an extended warranty & then she wanted me to explain why. Not professional.

We worked with Bailey Boggs to purchase my first ever brand new car - a snazzy 2026 Kia Sorento Hybrid. We had visited a couple other dealerships to narrow down our preferred make/model. Oakes Kia had a large inventory that allowed us to mix/match features until we found the right fit. I'm a methodical person who takes time to compare things and process big decisions - so I really appreciated that Bailey never made us feel rushed or pressured. She took the time to explain everything in detail and make sure we were comfortable with our decisions (vehicle, cost, financing options, etc.). She even helped keep my tag-along toddler entertained. You may not get the flashy, luxurious feel that other Kia dealerships may have - but you will get great customer service, professional and polite staff, and honest answers.

I have had nothing but great experiences at Oakes Kia! My salesperson offered to 3D print a cover for the start/stop button so my cat doesn't step on it, and the finance manager was very helpful and thorough in explaining all of my options to me!

This was by far the best experience I have ever had purchasing a new car. We didn’t have an appointment and when greeted by Travis he inquired as to whom our appointment was with, do we need one we asked and he said nope let’s see what we can do for you. I had done a ton of research and knew what I did and didn’t want. He listened made suggestions and showed us a few different options. We decided on the Sorento. Go see Travis he listens and is very knowledgeable about his inventory and isn’t out to make $$ off of you, he keeps your best interest in mind during your whole visit! We finished our visit with Karen in financing and she knows her job and does everything she can to help you protect your investment. Thanks Oakes KIA for being a first class establishment!!
