I've been looking at cars for a while now testing out trying to see what I liked and I found a 2024 KIA Sorento Prestige online at Oakes Kia in Olathe so I thought I'd give it a test run. This was the best experience I've ever had buying a car! My sales man Christian was absolutely amazing! He walked me all around the car and explained all the features before I ever got behind the wheel when it came time to talk #'s he explained all the current warranties and even got me more on my trade than originally quoted even offered to fill up the tank without me asking and bought my son snacks from QT then took him on a test drive when I was filling out paperwork. Lorraine my finance advisor was able to get me a good affordable warranty and put a movie on for background noise then when it came time leave Christian help me set all my programs in the car. Seriously the best car buying experience ever may never go elsewhere.

Anh Pham was awesome! I came to look at cars and was attended in a timely manor. Ang came through with vehicles and was extremely polite. If you guys need a car, i’d definitely recommend coming here! It was super chill and to the point. I recommend asking for Anh if you come out to Oakes Kia. I asked for what I wanted and left with a set of wheels. You’re missing out if you aren’t buying out here. The manager should definitely keep this salesman close and get him a pizza party lined up. It’s hard to find hard work and customer service skills like this nowadays!

Life happened and we had to look for a new car to replace the one which just got totaled. Dominic Taibi and Dustin made the process very easy and transparent. Dom T. started by showing us some options, taking a couple test drives, and being realistic with us when it came to staying within our price range. Dustin followed up with a clear presentation and walkthrough of how the finances looked along with what kind of extra coverages we have. I live in Columbia Missouri, made the drive all the way to KC as Dominic and his crew offered me a terrific deal on a brand new Kia carnival. The whole crew was top notch. From the people at the front door to the guys from service I met during the visit. They hooked me up with a great car and we discussed several service packages that made sense for our way of driving, while removing those that didn't make sense. We had some hiccups during the lease end and delivery, but the management team and Dom worked together and coordinated with my wife to find out the best way to solve it, with the help of our Columbia dealer.

The Guys in Oakes Kia Parts allowed me to borrow their lug nut wheel locking key so that I could put non-locking wheel lug nuts on my 2024 Kia Sorento X-Line. I could not find the original wheel locking nut key that came with the car when I bought the car new, nor could I find the code for the original locking key so that I could purchase the correct sized key as a replacement. Thanks so much Guys for understanding my situation and letting me borrow your key locks!!! I will rotate my tires this Friday and promptly return your wheel lock keys. You Guys really worked with me and for that I am extremely grateful!!

This is my 2nd time buying a vehicle from Oakes Kia and it was an amazing experience from start to finish, even after the initial purchase! I worked with Logan Gaynor and he was so kind, very professional, and not at all pushy. They gave me a hell of a deal on my new car, much better of a deal than any other Kia dealership in the area was willing to give me! A few days after buying my new Kia, I had discovered there were a few hail dings on it. No big deal, I figured it was from recent storms in the KC area and it had just not been discovered by the dealership at that point. It happens. So, I messaged Logan and he was prompt in his response and assured me they would take care of it. I went ahead and got an estimate, had the work done to repair the hail dings and sent over the invoice to the dealership. They had a check out to me soon after, no questions asked. This is how you treat a customer! I will be doing business with them again in the future when I'm looking for my next vehicle, without a doubt! 11/10 recommend. Kudos to Logan and Oakes Kia for making me feel like a valued customer.

Edited: took a few months, I believe due to some possible turnover at the dealership, but I got ahold of Bruce at Oakes KIA, and he took care of us promptly. Due to his exceptional customer care, I’ve now changed my review to a “5”. As stated below, sales and service are top notch. Original review: Sadly, I must say that Veterans should look elsewhere to buy a car. I was promised a $500 KIA Veteran rebate. Since buying the new KIA Sportage Hybrid a few months ago, we've just gotten the runaround. Sad that a dealer would do this to Veterans. We love the new KIA, and the service Department at Oakes KIA is the best - simply awesome. But, I was lied to about the Veteran rebate, and that is unfortunate.

Working with Bryan was great. He was super personable and made everything super quick and easy! I would 1000% work with Bryan again and recommend anyone I know to work with him! Lyric was very nice and knowledgeable. My only feedback is it felt like meeting with him took forever. It was already 7pm and I sat in his office for over an hour, which made me get home super late in the evening. I feel like the process definitely could be sped up.

We went to another dealership looking for a deal on a car, we were going to go with a telluride (over what we wanted to pay) and then we had a call from a salesman called dominic, he wanted to get us a better deal and found us one that fit perfectly in our regime AND fit our rubric. The finance manager- lyric, had found us a deal on a warranty that had saved us tons of money and kept it right around what we wanted to pay a month. The new car came with a full tank of gas, added features, and it was detailed/cleaned before we were sent home. This place has also helped out our family by helping repair a blown engine on a car under a good warranty. Would recommend, this was a great experience and they managed to do all of this within an hour.

Jonah was great to work with! Made the deal quickly and I was able to get what I wanted. Not as impressed with Chris, though, as he completely changed his attitude towards me when I didn’t purchase the extended warranty. I had told him I was already part of Oakes VIP, that I didn’t want the extended, he went ahead and laid it all out for me, which I appreciated, but in the end I wasn’t going to increase my payment over $100 a month for a glorified GPS and roadside, which I already have. He seemed to become frustrated after declining and he became short and silent. At the beginning of the conversation he seemed to know about my GAP refund from my previous car, but towards the end, he all of a sudden had no information for me. Oakes Kia has been great to work with since I started going there in March 2023. Recently, when my motor went out, Jarrod Bolling contacted Kia a get it replaced. I had to wait a couple of days for a response and Jarrod communicated with me until the decision was made that they would not replace the motor because it was not knocking. Before contacting my extended warranty company, Jarrod requested that the technician do every test on the motor that could be done. He then contacted my extended warranty company. He had to wait for an inspector to get to the shop to look at the motor before it could be approved for replacement. I then had to wait for a decision. In both instances, Jarrod was great at following up with Kia, with the extended warranty company and letting me know what he learned. My car was towed to the shop on January 12 and I got it back January 30. For all of that time Jarrod was in contact with me. There are other instances I could mention where exceptional service was provided, but I think it is evident why I am giving Oakes Kia five stars. It is my opinion that Jarrod went above and beyond his performance as a Service Advisor. I am so happy to have my car back and most of all, I did not have to purchase a new one. For me, that is BIG. Thank you Jarrod and Oakes Kia!!

Overall good experience with dealership. Only downfall was pushy Finance Manager that told me Kia offers 3 years, 36000 miles B2B warranty - not accurate. I had to tell her no 10 times that I wasn’t interested in an extended warranty & then she wanted me to explain why. Not professional.

We worked with Bailey Boggs to purchase my first ever brand new car - a snazzy 2026 Kia Sorento Hybrid. We had visited a couple other dealerships to narrow down our preferred make/model. Oakes Kia had a large inventory that allowed us to mix/match features until we found the right fit. I'm a methodical person who takes time to compare things and process big decisions - so I really appreciated that Bailey never made us feel rushed or pressured. She took the time to explain everything in detail and make sure we were comfortable with our decisions (vehicle, cost, financing options, etc.). She even helped keep my tag-along toddler entertained. You may not get the flashy, luxurious feel that other Kia dealerships may have - but you will get great customer service, professional and polite staff, and honest answers.

I contacted Bailey Boggs about 3 vehicles I needed to purchase. I knew going into this, they are not standard vehicles found at car lots. Bailey set me up with Taft who knowingly knew Kia would not have these vehicles, admitted he did not know much about them, but researched and located several options for me and I was able to find one from his research and suggestions. The measure of a person really shows when there is nothing to gain but you give it your all anyways ❤️

The last one I purchased was a replacement for a smaller car that I just wanted a bigger car and purchased a carnivalminivan. Lyric, Chuck, and Meaghan are outstanding. They are not high-pressure and they provide the outstanding customer support that I’m sure Kia expects from them. I feel really comfortable when I’m buying a car dealing with these three as I know that I’m getting a fair deal and they’re not giving me any malarky. We went to another dealership looking for a deal on a car, we were going to go with a telluride (over what we wanted to pay) and then we had a call from a salesman called dominic, he wanted to get us a better deal and found us one that fit perfectly in our regime AND fit our rubric. The finance manager- lyric, had found us a deal on a warranty that had saved us tons of money and kept it right around what we wanted to pay a month. The new car came with a full tank of gas, added features, and it was detailed/cleaned before we were sent home. This place has also helped out our family by helping repair a blown engine on a car under a good warranty. Would recommend, this was a great experience and they managed to do all of this within an hour.
