I made the drive from Columbia Missouri all the way to north KC to get my new Kia. I had been disappointed with the Kia brand because my local dealer sales and service teams have been disappointing... But what a refreshing surprise it was to work with Oakes Kia and Dom Taibi. From the get-go I told him my price point. And my family wants and needs. Dom put the work for us and worked for me. Not for a bonus, not for a dealer. For my price point and my needs. His knowledge of the product and the financial tools available to us was fantastic and him and his team came through with a great offer. Let me start by saying I’m a girls girl. I called to buy a Kia Carnival. I specifically asked to only work with women. Not only was my request accommodated but I was linked up with Gloria Lillich and she WAS AMAZING! She helped me in every way and made the process of buying a new car easy, stress free and fun! We were at a different Kia dealership earlier today (Shawnee mission) and it was a terrible experience. We came to Oakes and installed were greeted by Jonah. Came here with a 19 Stinger to trade in for an IS 350 F SPORT RWD Fully loaded and they beat out the price of the actual lexus dealership!!!! The Lexus dealer wanted the same price for double the miles and less features. If you can get in contact with Dom Braswell, this guy is amazing. He hooked me up big time, super friendly and transparent and willing to help and answer any questions. Gave me a fair price on the stinger with 89.8k miles evaluating a trade at $15k but after trade in discounts on the new car it really ends up being closer to $18k. I ended up with a better car with less miles in the end and couldn’t be happier.

I bought an amazing Lexus GX 550 from Oakes Kia yesterday and had a great experience working with Jonah Hale. The entire process was very low pressure, which I really appreciated. He was straightforward, easy to work with, very knowledge, and answered all of my questions. They also gave me a very fair value on my trade-in, which made the deal even easier to move forward with. When it came to financing, the rate they offered was about the same as what I would have gotten if I had gone out and secured financing on my own, which showed they were being competitive and transparent. Overall it was a smooth, professional buying experience. I’d definitely recommend Jonah and the team at Oakes Kia if you’re in the market for a vehicle.

My husband and I just bought a Kia EV6 used with Brian. This was one of the best auto purchasing experiences we have had! Brian was such a great person to work with! He helped us set up all of the stuff ahead of time since we had to drive two hours to get to the dealership. He also knew so much about the vehicle that we were purchasing, including the specific specs about the exact vehicle that we were purchasing and not just information about the EV6 generally. He took the time to sit down to us and talk to us about all the things about the car, but then also during waiting times He was still just such a great host and a great communicator about everything going on with the process. Everything was done so quickly so seamlessly he talked us through everything. He stayed a little bit late just to make sure everything went through before we left. It was seriously the best buying experience we could’ve asked for! We got a great deal! Had a quick and easy experience! And we would recommend!

Bird is so knowledgeable and I really appreciate him helping me every step of the way for my very first purchase with a dealership. When I decide to buy another vehicle I hope he’s still there! I took a few test drives with Bailey Boggs and she was very helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. I ended up going to Ford because the Expedition had more size than the Telluride and better 4wd than the Carnival but both those vehicles were very nice. But I would be happy to buy from here in the future.

I've visited Oakes Kia twice now for service, and have had a positive experience both times. I was visiting initially for a recall inspection + oil change and tire rotation. Service was QUICK, and the Service Advisor was very kind and efficient. They ordered the part needed for the recall, completed the other services, and sent me happily on my way. I found the charges for the oil change and tire rotation to be fair and competitive with the market. My second visit was this past week, for the installation of the part for the recall. I was quoted an extremely accurate wait time, and was given a comprehensive list of suggested services due to my Kia's mileage. The Service Advisor (Tim H.) explained these items to me in a way I could understand (not being a car expert or mechanic) AND in a way that was respectful/not condescending -- which has been a rare occurrence for me in my visits with other mechanic shops/dealerships historically. Tim also did not push me to complete or schedule those services immediately in a "sales-y" manner which I appreciated. I will be returning though, to complete those. Unrelated to the Service Advisors/Service Team: The waiting areas (there's two -- a main area with chairs, and then a smaller room that's quieter with a couple tables for people like me who needed to work!) were clean, and I was shown the restrooms, refreshment stations, and given the WiFi password without needing to ask. It's these "small things" that make or break an experience when one needs to be there for several hours.

Lyric was very nice and knowledgeable. My only feedback is it felt like meeting with him took forever. We went to another dealership looking for a deal on a car, we were going to go with a telluride (over what we wanted to pay) and then we had a call from a salesman called dominic, he wanted to get us a better deal and found us one that fit perfectly in our regime AND fit our rubric. The finance manager- lyric, had found us a deal on a warranty that had saved us tons of money and kept it right around what we wanted to pay a month. The new car came with a full tank of gas, added features, and it was detailed/cleaned before we were sent home. This place has also helped out our family by helping repair a blown engine on a car under a good warranty. Would recommend, this was a great experience and they managed to do all of this within an hour.

Jonah was great to work with! Made the deal quickly and I was able to get what I wanted. Not as impressed with Chris, though, as he completely changed his attitude towards me when I didn’t purchase the extended warranty. I had told him I was already part of Oakes VIP, that I didn’t want the extended, he went ahead and laid it all out for me, which I appreciated, but in the end I wasn’t going to increase my payment over $100 a month for a glorified GPS and roadside, which I already have. He seemed to become frustrated after declining and he became short and silent. At the beginning of the conversation he seemed to know about my GAP refund from my previous car, but towards the end, he all of a sudden had no information for me. Never had an issue with any other finance personnel there though, as I have been a customer since 2019.

Oakes Kia has been great to work with since I started going there in March 2023. Recently, when my motor went out, Jarrod Bolling contacted Kia a get it replaced. I had to wait a couple of days for a response and Jarrod communicated with me until the decision was made that they would not replace the motor because it was not knocking. Before contacting my extended warranty company, Jarrod requested that the technician do every test on the motor that could be done. He then contacted my extended warranty company. He had to wait for an inspector to get to the shop to look at the motor before it could be approved for replacement. I then had to wait for a decision. In both instances, Jarrod was great at following up with Kia, with the extended warranty company and letting me know what he learned. My car was towed to the shop on January 12 and I got it back January 30. For all of that time Jarrod was in contact with me. There are other instances I could mention where exceptional service was provided, but I think it is evident why I am giving Oakes Kia five stars. It is my opinion that Jarrod went above and beyond his performance as a Service Advisor. I am so happy to have my car back and most of all, I did not have to purchase a new one. For me, that is BIG. Thank you Jarrod and Oakes Kia!!

We worked with Bailey Boggs to purchase my first ever brand new car - a snazzy 2026 Kia Sorento Hybrid. We had visited a couple other dealerships to narrow down our preferred make/model. Oakes Kia had a large inventory that allowed us to mix/match features until we found the right fit. I'm a methodical person who takes time to compare things and process big decisions - so I really appreciated that Bailey never made us feel rushed or pressured. She took the time to explain everything in detail and make sure we were comfortable with our decisions (vehicle, cost, financing options, etc.). She even helped keep my tag-along toddler entertained. You may not get the flashy, luxurious feel that other Kia dealerships may have - but you will get great customer service, professional and polite staff, and honest answers.

This was by far the best experience I have ever had purchasing a new car. We didn’t have an appointment and when greeted by Travis he inquired as to whom our appointment was with, do we need one we asked and he said nope let’s see what we can do for you. I had done a ton of research and knew what I did and didn’t want. He listened made suggestions and showed us a few different options. We decided on the Sorento. Go see Travis he listens and is very knowledgeable about his inventory and isn’t out to make $$ off of you, he keeps your best interest in mind during your whole visit! We went to another dealership looking for a deal on a car, we were going to go with a telluride (over what we wanted to pay) and then we had a call from a salesman called dominic, he wanted to get us a better deal and found us one that fit perfectly in our regime AND fit our rubric. The finance manager- lyric, had found us a deal on a warranty that had saved us tons of money and kept it right around what we wanted to pay a month. The new car came with a full tank of gas, added features, and it was detailed/cleaned before we were sent home. This place has also helped out our family by helping repair a blown engine on a car under a good warranty. Would recommend, this was a great experience and they managed to do all of this within an hour.

Jonah was great to work with! Made the deal quickly and I was able to get what I wanted. Not as impressed with Chris, though, as he completely changed his attitude towards me when I didn’t purchase the extended warranty. I had told him I was already part of Oakes VIP, that I didn’t want the extended, he went ahead and laid it all out for me, which I appreciated, but in the end I wasn’t going to increase my payment over $100 a month for a glorified GPS and roadside, which I already have. He seemed to become frustrated after declining and he became short and silent. At the beginning of the conversation he seemed to know about my GAP refund from my previous car, but towards the end, he all of a sudden had no information for me. Never had an issue with any other finance personnel there though, as I have been a customer since 2019.
